For the first couple days after I put up two new tanks (a 40g breeder above a 65g) my overflow had no problems. It has a valve on top of the overflow so you can connect it to the air intake on a powerhead and maintain your syphon. The powerhead I'm using is a SEIO M620 which I found in my garage.
I believe the problem is with the powerhead itself as mouth suction works to remove the air with no problem. (This is probably not very smart or healthy)
I will most likely have to order a new powerhead and was looking for recommendations. It has to have a pretty powerful air intake so I can maintain my syphon without worrying about it much while I'm at work.
Thanks in advance for suggestions and tips of what to avoid.
