does b-ionic 2 part help to raise or to maintain your calcium and alkalinity levels. my calcium is currently at 420ppm and my alk. is at 12dKH..so i dont want to raise anything just keep it where its at...is this what b-ionic is for?

I can do either. You just have to pinpoint your consumption. With a tank that has low calcium demanding corals it may be fine just with water changes.

if it ain't broke, don't fix it. If you notice your levels going down, B-ionic is a great 2-part system.

I have the same question. I started using the B-Ionic and my calcium is at 390 and dkh is at 9.6. I would like to raise my calcium up some. So do I dose a little more calcium than the alkalinity? Or do I have to keep them at equal amounts and increase the dosage of both?

I would agree. If it is working right don't change it. It seems to be always changing when your corals are growing at a fast rate or you add a new coral to the tank.
