overdone kalwasser...

Hello all, i may have added too much kalkwasser to my tank. I use it as a cheap alternative to joes jucie, mix with distilled it works great.. Ive used this for 2 years with no problems. I have a nano that i spplenent 2 times a week with Seachem Calcium and calcium carbonate.

Anyway, i was bombingthe unwanted and the overdid the Kalcwasser/distilled water mix...

I wondering what the side effects might be...

Increased pH, Abiotic precipitation of Calcium Carbonate (tank looks like it is filled with milk). If either or both of these happen then you can add a couple of drops of white distilled Vinegar into the tank. And get ready for a water change and a good cleaning of all of the pumps.

Other than that I wouldn't worry too much ;)

couple drops of bar soda.
Won't hurt much. I've turned my tank to milk twice (don't even ask) and hurt nothing. The tank self-corrects ph so don't get too eager with the soda water. You compound things if you over do.

Thanks guys, guess i wont panic, my tank is clear and not milky...
i was worried about my maximas, but it seems i just need to keep an eye on the PH, thanks agian!
