I tried both venturi types on my DIY skimmer and wanted to share it with you.

The first picture was the original config of the skimmer with 2 mazzei injectors(one on the feeding pump another on the recirculating).
Second picture, single recirculating pump with 8 layers of mesh (enkamat), feed by overflow.

First config: The air and water intake was more than the second config, I had to decrease the air in both injectors due to canon on the neck as the neck diameter is 6 inches. Major problem encountered was locking up of the recirc pump due to liming. Every 2 or 3 weeks I had to disassemble and clean the calcification on the rotor. I killed 3 Resun pumps (18000l/h) in 6 months.
Second config: My major concern about this config is the watts that pump draws, 700watts. The only good thing about such size pump is, although the height of the skimmer is 163 cm (~5'5'') it aspirates air that a 6'' neck cant take. Again I have to decrease the air intake on the venturi. As you can see on the picture the body of the skimmer is pure white although it is made of clear 6mm acrylic. The bubble size is very fine indeed.
I should I go for a 8'' neck maybe? Would Spazz or Hahn would be kind enough to help me out?

The other skimmer on the pictures is Schuran jetskim 250 with 12000l/h Reddragon pump.

lol..........don't worry man I think its pretty bad a**. How does that JetSkim compare to the giant one?

Also, maybe you can use a lower wattage pump, like one from the ReefFlo series. They run way more efficient than 700w I would imagine.

Thank you for the comment Salty Child 79. I was so upset that no body was interested..
Jetskim produces less skimmate and lighter in color but interestingly it's skimmate smells like sewage, very stinky. The other one's smells like fresh seafood.
I would use a dart pump for it but we have 220V 50hz electricity over here and I dont think sequence, dart produce such pumps.

Acrodave,
Besides the chiller, the sump and the rest of the equipment is in the penthouse inside this "mobile room" I should say, couldn't find a better way to describe it, This mobile room is very practical infact, opens up easily and provides huge space to do chores. Provides very good isolation too, did not have any problems regarding temparature control, neither in summer nor in winter.
I live in Ankara Turkey by the way.
I will attach some pictures tomorrow.

As I said before schuran's skimmate is less and lighter in color but much more stinky.
