View Full Version : DIY wet/dry vac just for poo/detris In hard to reach places and SUMPS

Here we go with the goofie things I make. I have a old vac laying around. Which I will mod so I can suck out build up of detris in my sump using a bucket and leftover plumbing. I will take a lot of pic's ((( Note)) the salt bucket is NOT the type I use my neighbor bought it to spread it down last winter to melt ice and snow...

underside of lid the sponge will help keep water from going in the vac. there is a ball in there also

That's sweet. What if you put the vent directly on the lid of the bucket rather than the hose?

I did change the short suck tube for a longer streighter tube.

You should add a pvc extension up from the lid of the bucket and throw a ball valve on it. That would allow you to control your flow. Stronger, close the ball valve. slower, open it up. Would hate to see you sucking up to much.
