I recently installed/calibrated a pH probe for my ACIII and am seeing pH swings from 7.60-7.75

After work today I am going to pick up some more calibration fluid and check the reading on the probe since that seems a bit low.

All other params are spot on.

If the probe tests out at 7 and 10 while in solution what I can do to help raise the pH to where it should be (it is a bit low right?)

7.6-7.75 are fine, the ph will go up a little bit during photo period. it scare me when I got my ac jr.

Here's a link to Randy's article on Low pH causes and cures (http://www.reefkeeping.com/issues/2004-09/rhf/index.php)

Ive read that article before but I dont have a CO2 reactor going so I know thats not the issue. The skimmer should be giving the tank more than enough aeration (along with all the surface agitation it receives). My alkalinity is at 11 dKh so its not low by any means either ... which is why I am leaning towards probe issues. Hopefully after I test the probe tonite I can get this sorted out.

If the probe is OK and calibrated correctly, how can I go about fixing this?

You may have high CO2 levels in your house. I know when I open the windows and blow a fan towards the tank my pH climbs.

Ill try that tonite as well ... I have a sliding door right next to the tank so ill pop that open and slap a fan there to blow the fresh air into the stand (sump area)
