I would like to add a couple really easy reef safe fish that are peaceful and will eat just food that can be delivered from a automated fish feeder (i.e. no frozen food) which i'm assuming is just fish flakes.

Thanks!!!

well it depends. many fish will accept flake food in time.

To just feed flake food wouldn't really be very healthy to a fish, you should try varying their diet, and supplement w/ garlic for best results. But some other types of non-frozen food would be pellets, and they have some dried krill and things of the like @ Dr.Foster's and Smith.

But if you have to feed flakes, then I suggest going to your LFS and ask around there what fish would eat flake food readily, then ask the employee to feed the fish, if it eats heartily then I suggest purchasing it. Always inspect or watch the fish before you decide to purchase it.

Pellets are fine too.

I guess that would have been a better way to put it-which fish are fine on non frozen foods only?

Anything in my list below my sig EXCEPT: a mandy, rainford.

Mind, there is another way to set up; everybody in my list BUT the chromis, firefish, highfins and jawfish will totally survive off the output of a fuge combined with detritus, and that includes the inverts. You never have to feed them.

So not all Gobys would be included then?

No. Gobys are a diverse group, some have more specialized needs than others.

I recommend goldfish.
