Kinda scares me now.

Looks like it will fall and break the front glass but when I set it up it felt very strudy.

The fish like it.

I'll be buying new Fluval tubing next week and will extend the output to the Aquafuge2 unit then I can get rid of that ugly pump and plastic tubing.

are you going to keep it fish only? out of interest whats the plastic pipe for in the right hand corner? looks clean enough though, are you thinking of adding more rock in the future? its nice inachu, whats your long term plans?

Not sure.

Would like it to be a reef tank soon but more rock makes me paranoid about the bottom dropping out.

Oh and the biggest nemo loves the pipe there as its home.

i think for long term stability you need more rock for a reef, also i doubt the bottom will fall out if placed properly,

One thing I do like about this setup is all water output except for the refugium is they are shooting left counter clockwise.

Thus in this current setup the free space has nice large amounts of water turning and hitting the filter as it goes back around and the other half of the tnak is nice and calm and very little water movement so they can relax if need be.

it looks all wrong to me, you have vertually no flow at the left hand side of the tank, id suggest another ph pointing to the left surface from the centre r/hand side, detritus and nitrates will be evident in there if it stays like it is now, why not stick the rock in the centre a bit more so there is at least 2" of space between the rock and the left hand side of the tank, the water can then flow around a bit, and you can get a scraper in there to clean the sides of the tank, even in fish only you need 15-20 times the flow plus it also depends on how that flow is used, im only suggesting the extra flow because your drawn pointers suggest low flow at the left:)

I'm keep the way it is for now to get the water colum free of debris. I was surprised how fast it was picking up the stuff in small like tiny tornados in front of the filter intake then it got sucked up. It did so good I may have to change the filter again when I get back home today after work.

You think fish should fight their way through the water current in every inch of the tank?

Well it is getting better.

I gave away for free 3 of my fish to my co worker so less stress and even the blue damsel now feels free to swim the entire tank without a yelltail chasing him.

im only saying this because you stated in your drawing of your pics that there was litrally no flow here, very peaceful, and yes there should be a decent flow in there, especially as your considering a reef, fish should be used to flow, the ocean has lots of flow, iits up to you, but slack areas attract detritus and that means nitrate, fish only ok, but you want a reef dont you?

They do great!

I only see them picking at each other like dogs do when fighting over food but then stops.

The blue tang loves super tight spaces to sqeeze into. then rushes back to be with his angel.
