Has anyone seen this? The bubble is actually even bigger now. Been like that for a week or so now.

This just started happening to my frogspawn and I was about to post a question/picture of mine. I was worried because the side that it was happening on with my frogspawn is in a slightly higher flow area and the tentacles didn't seem to be as happy. Could one more person confirm the splitting thing before I rest easy?

BTW, sorry for the thread hijack....

Mine has done that at least 4-5 times and everytime it was for a split. I wouldn't worry, that's most likely what it is;)

Hmm. when mine split they don't look like that. That almost looks like bubble algea (valonia). However, it generally won't grow that big overnight or let along get that big.

Cool. Thanks guys. My frogspawn has split a few times already. I never noticed that before. Probably just wasn't paying attention.

Thanks!

It doesnt always happen before a split, but it is some sort of reproductive adventure; either due to stress or extreme contentment.

Mine did the same thing. I was a bit concerned and nobody seemed to have a clue. It still looked healthy, so I left it. Noticed the other day three heads where there used to be only one. Nice to know I'm not the only one who experienced it.
Mine had that bubble for about 2 months before it finally completely split.
