I picked up my Glass Cages Starfire 180 from there TN location yesterday. You would not beleive that they are located in a barn on a farm in TN. Very hard to find. I will say that all of the bad rep on there customer service is not so true. I had a great experance with them. and the tank looks good. I will post pics soon. I am in TX and the tank is on a trailer. as soon as I find a house I will post picks and updated equipment.

Nice tank, I have not had any problems with glasscages. They were very helpful in helping me fix a 240 with a broken bottom. He went into great detail on how to fix it.Been three weeks and still no leaks. You are off to good start.

Nice tank and start so far. Like the sand mix as it gives the sand bed an extra pop in a way.

Would have loved to been at the store when you asked to buy all that water. With a large tank like that running now I would invest in a RO/DI unit if you have not gotten one yet. Saves money in the long run and trips to the store for water.

Thanks all. I do already have a RO/DI unit, but I am in the military and will be deploying to Iraq soon and needed to get the tank set up and running ASAP. It would have taken me 3 to 4 days to make up that much water so I just bought it and got the tank cycling. I will post more pics today with water in it. Also added 8 green cromises yesterday.

i may have read this wrong, did you say you already added fish to the tank you just put water in?

No offense, but I would have waited until you got back. Good luck, stay safe. That's pretty harsh on the fish, and I hope your family and/or whoever is taking care of the tank knows what to do.

FYI, the numbers I've seen posted on TDS from the water from WalMart are pretty bad.

Sorry forgot to tell you that I just started the thread, but the tank has been filled almost 3 weeks. The Amonia is at 0 and all fish are doing great. I have more fish in qurintine , but thought that I would add these to have something to look at.

Ok all, the tank is cycled and stable now. I am going to be adding fish slowly and waiting on corals for a while.

Eric: I would have waited untill I got back, but then I would have had this tank just sitting and colecting dust. and with the military life this is not a once in a wille thing so if I wait it will only come around again latter with the same situation.

Been there done that ;) Good luck. I would just do everything you can to prep your family/friends to assist with it if you haven't already.
