How many people have success with non stop flow from powerheads like koralias and nanostreams. This is major headache on my current build. I want to put in a closed loop, but its just not lining up. The powerheads are cheaper and easier. I know there are controllable powerheads, but they are beyond my price range.

I used nonstop flow on all of my tanks. Never had a problem. Just dont point them directly at any coral. Try to bounce off the glass or off of each other like a colllision.

I use two Korallia 4 pumps in my 72. I run them side by side across the top 10 inches of the aquarium where I don't have any coral anyway. I've found they're overkill, that's why I run them this way.

Originally when I heard tha SPS likes a lot of flow, I wasn't really aware of what that meant. Now, I know, SPS loves to e in moving water but not in a small stream of water.

If wave-makers weren't so noisy, I think they'd be ideal. Barring that, a wave controller built into something like one of the Neptune units with the new large Korallia pumps will be what I use in my 180.

I have a koralia 3 and a koralia 4 in a 46g bowfront. I have mine blasting the sps in my tank. I would say they are both aimed right at a majority of my coral. Polyp Extension is insane and growth is unreal for the low tech system I am running.

One thing I did notice is if you run koralias with the snail protector or flow director whatever its called they are garbage!

A little present from me to you, this was for Mixer positioning in the Wastewater industry, so don't get hung up in the details.

What this will do is help you begin to visualize what will happen in different PH orientations. You may think of these as either, top or front views.

Naturally, rocks and the coral themselves complicate the model.

it is what it is........
