hi all ive got green grass growing on my rock and its spreding on to my sand ive got apeppermint shrimp acting like a lownmower any info please

Any pictures? Could be Hair Algae or could be some other kind of algae. Hard to say without a picture. Also post your current tank parameters and livestock will also help.
need to know more about the system, and pictures would surely help. In general I'd assume it's not hair algae if it's actually growing on the sand, but it could be.

no its grass my clean up crew is a cleaner shrimp a peppermint shrimp 20 turpos

you should try diffrent species of snails(although most dont eat hair) or try a emerald crab and some hermits......

maybe its GSP weve all had that spread like wire fire.;) :)
