Hi,

I'm currently using KZ amino acids and its running out. My freind works at a pharmacy and can get a powder which contains every amino acid. Are there any aminos which are bad for a reef? would this be ok to use?

thanks

I use glutamine. Studies have shown that most marine bacteria can take up glutamine all by itself. But I only use a very small pinch a day.

boxfishpooalot,

You put a pinch of L-Glutamine into your tank? What were the results? Any difference?

amazing results sterling. I can honestly say that everything I have tried does not work as powerful as this. That is for removing nitrate and phosphate. Before dosing the po4 was .15ppm and rising. No3 was around 10ppm. After just one day, both were undetectable. I see no algae growth at all. But one drawback is initially dosing it may bloom bacteria and cause your alkalinity reading to be inaccurate. But this is not proven yet. I also do not have any corals just corraline and fish. So dose at your own risk if you have corals.
