id on some type of creature

I have been watch several small somethings in my sump they look like plant roots stuck to the glass orange in color not moving, but they doo over a period of 3 hours or so I have seen them move 1/4 in or so and completly change shape. I do not have a clue what these thing are but they are alive. but usualy over a 24 hr period the will barly move.

It sounds like you're seeing a type of foraminiferan. They're harmless relatives of amoebas, many of which can get quite large.

most of the time these things will completely fit on a nicle some time slightly larger they split and move off in seprate directions. the root looking structure would be aprox. like pencil line on paper or finer. thank you for the possibles will do more reaserch
