Actually if it is a goliath grouper, it is found in the atlantic around florida and isn't newly discovered at all. In fact, the florida aquarium in Tampa, has a 4 ft one. They are found in florida waters and was fished til it dropped in numbers in the 90's. Might have newly been discoverd in the pacific, but not newly discovered in the atlantic. Maybe it went through the panama canal and the species ended up in the pacific?
