The worst. I've seen those little buggers wipeout beautiful Montipora specimens. I've even been battling them in my own tank. Most of my montiporas are thoroughly fused to the rockwork so removing and dipping them is impossible. Just when I think they're gone I see signs they've returned.

monti eating nudis... 2 options... potassium permanganate or just toss them and go fallow... manual removal is an exercise in futility IME

I never completely got rid of mine when I had them either...until I accidentally killed every sps in the tank. it worked.....no more nudis

I will try trash parts infected, and dip with permanganate the smaller pieces...

50mg/lts 90 min as Borneman article will do?

Any other thoughs or am I doomed???

Claudio, just keep inspecting them. Either they will be gone or come back 1000 times and you'll throw out all your montis. Those little SOB's stress me out.

some people have ceertainly won the battle with the potassioum...but its hard on them and its easy to lose them.

If you dont already have a yellow coris wrasse, or some other very diligent eater liek that...get one or two. They can keep them in check.

Wow those guys are horrible. Sorry to hear you got them. A friend of mine just went through the same problem. Even with the KMnO4 he still found them a few weeks later.
