Whats going on with my coral? Two of the tips just developed sort of a slime . The rest of the coral looks perfectly healthy so I dont think its RTN but Im not sure. I did give the corals time to adapt by moving them up. I think the white/blue around the monif is new growth.

The bubbles at the base of the "infection" on the largest branch are a good indication that this is not RTN or STN. Nor is it due to a higher organism like a flat worm or nudibranch. I am not sure exactly what it is- it actually looks similar to brown-jelly disease that is seen with Bubble-corals. I would attempt dipping in MTPCC and manually removing any remaining slime.

What is MTPCC? I have a Seachem coral dip. Would that be ok?

Should I cut the bad tips off?

I would wait to see if the affected area spreads. If it does, then I would cut off the bad areas.

Sorry for the delay in answering your question- MTPCC = Marin Tropic Pro- coral Cure. It is an iodine based "antibiotic" (in the loosest terms) for corals. Many people will dip all new corals before QT'ing them prior to adding to a Community tank. I agree with IFbettas- don't cut off branches unless you see it spread, but keep a close eye on things. Can you post any new pictures.
