ok, not really that hard.
Most computer fans are 12V and are unidirectional, only spin/blow one direction, usually toward the sticker.
If the fan doesn't spin, reverse the power connection to the fan.
You can hard wire them to your power supply, but if/when the fan dies, it's a pain to install a new fan. Use some type of quick disconnect.
You can DIY your own fan controller, or:

computer fans are 12V DC. I put three 5" fans in the back of my canopy, i wired it with a 120V AC to 12V DC transformer. The 12V DC transformer i used was for an old radio

As already stated these are quite easy to do. Two wires, like rcgates said if it doesn't work switch the wires.
I personally would try and keep it to a maximum of two per power converter, although I have run as many as 4 on one converter in the past, but the converter gets pretty hot and obviously the performance drops as you add more fans.

I agree about the max of running 4 on one power converter. I was running 6 on one and really lost efficiency on the fans, never really had a problem with the converter getting too hot though.

The number of fans that you can use really depends on the power adapter you use. I have used 12 volt 1 amp or 1000 milliamp bricks for 6 fans no problem. But trying to use a .5amp or 500 miliamp brick for that many fans wouldn't fare as well. Just go out to your local thrift store and look around you are sure to find a couple.

I just use old charger convertors or convertors from some type of printer or charger or something. Maybe that is why I had a heat issue, it never really hot "hot", just warmed up.
What is this "brick" you are talking about NightShade?
Thanks
