Not sure why but some of my SPS arent extending their polyps anymore. most of them still have good PE but 3 or 4 have just stopped in the last few days. colour is fine and they look healthy. These specific SPS normally show great PE. any ideas?
nothing has changed and all water parameters are good.
thanks

Almost the best cure for all water issues are a water change. Check your make up water to make sure it starts at 0.0ppm. Even if your phosphate, nitrate, ca, kh, mg are in line any tank will benefit from a water change.

Also look at the corals very well to make sure you have no pest. Redbugs and AEFW can cause poor polyp extension. Redbugs irritate the coral AEFW will kill it!

If you find out you have them read this post on how to kill them.

not very big at all.
once you train your eyes to see them...you can spot them easily, but until then, you can be looking right at them and not know they are there
