the mandarin are VERY resistant to ich and should not get it. i dont know about the eel but i have never heard of an eel with ich!
I just want to know if i can leave those 2 in my tank while i take the others out.

I'm pretty sure you can. You can't really QT a mandarin since it will have no pods to feed off of and eels don't take to treatments well. I'd leave them in and QT all your other fish.

I think they may be safe from ick, but may be carriers. I think you have to remove all of the fish to be completely sure that the ick is gone from the tank.

It's not likely. Mandarins have a very thick slime coat and are almost immune to ich.

I yield to those with more experience. I think that any new additions will be carrying ick anyway, so it really is a moot point.

I have never quaratined my mandarins either-- they need pods to feed on. It never infected any other of my fish nor caught ich. I think the thick slim coat make it immune to ich.

Not immune. Just very resistant. Speaking from experience...
