Well I purchased a 120 gal that is alive and doing great, but it is just way to big for our small room. So we have came to a 60 gallon 48x15x18 to fit. I am going to change some of the plumping an add a refugium and lose the wet/dry at least bio balls. input?

Here is the setup
Tru Vu 60 gal
Converted Wet/Dry Pro 75 w/skimmer
Pump
12x20x16 Refugium
4X65 50/50 light

Here is a drawing of it. Please give input.
Also 120 is currently running and doing great all reading are perfect. Do I just add new sand to new tank, water from current tank and live rock and corals?

Definitely get rid of the Bio balls. You could fill the water level higher and have room for the heater, another pump and phos reactor. The pho reactor can also be used for carbon filtering when needed. My 2 cents at least. / Dave

To avoid disaster, do no restrict the flow coming from the main tank. If anything, remove the valve on the line going to the skimmer compartment. Another option is to have all of the overflow water go to the skimmer compartment and T off the return line coming from the return pump with two valves one to the refuge and one back to the display

How does this look.

Also added two options for the refugiums. Let me know your thoughts.
