Does anyone use one? If so, does it make a big difference to your water perameters? What do u have it stocked with?

If this helps I was looking at hang on fuges, I decided to go with a 10 gallon tank. The whole thing cost me $100.00 and it is great. It has only been running 2 weeks. See pic of refugium next to tank.

I own an AquaFuge2 on my 54g corner. It serves it's purpose... grows pods & houses chaeto. It does a good job and I push 4x flow thru there for filtration and nutrient export.

If you don't have space to house a 10g or bigger refugium, then the HOB is a nice functional option to have.

I have had one on my tank for years. I like it if there is no other option. It is quick and easy threw some algea in one chamber some LiveSand and a few bits of LR I had laying around and presto done. I have been very happy with it over the years that being said I would rather have a sump. Simply for more space.

I had a CPR Aquafuge and like others have said, they serve their purpose if you can't run a sump.
