I am moving and will not be taking my 110 gallon tank with me, but I have a 125 build in the process. What should I do with the sand in my 110 intil my 125 is ready for set-up

I would try to sell it as live sand. Or rinse it and drain it realy good be for storing it.

Throw it away. This is the only good option. You are going to move 100+lbs of stinky sand with you to save about $100? Only to start off your new tank with a million ppm pf nitrates and phosphates and rotting bacteria?
I really hope nobody is stupid enough to buy it from you.
Also, don't move your tank with the sand in it unless you enjoy shortening the lifespan of your tank by who knows how much...or ya know...instantly busting a seam.

i would start again as well, pointless using old sand, if the change over was instantanious then you could add a bit for seeding the new but in your case id say ditch it and start a fresh

ok even if the set-up is less than 6 months old

theres no point really is there, you are moving and starting a new 125 which is great news, id start a fresh i think, thats my view, however if you want to do it then im sure you will, i know its 4-6 weeks to cycle again but in the long run it will be better than sticking 100 pounds of old sand in there, im sure someone will say otherwise and as mentioned im sure you will do what you feel is right, but id ditch it myself:)

When you say "live" do you mean live with critters and such, or do you mean live just with bacteria?
If it's alive with critters, I'd definitely try to bring it all to the new set-up.
If it's just alive with bacteria, I'd save a bucketful, use it to seed the new set-up and chuck the rest.
