Are these the larger version of the spidermans?

Either, just trying to get an idea of what one of the species looks like. I know there are a paly one and a normal zoa style one.

I think I am looking for the larger polyp version.

here is some of my spiderman. The polyps commonly called spiderman are small ..almost tiny polyps....the polyps commonly called superman are large polyps to put it simply. Both are blue with red skirts.

Pics soon to come. I picked up a colony from a local reefer, they are a bit blue in the center and taper out to a neon red/orange with a light gray skirt.

Once they are fully open ill post.

seems like everyone is posting different "superman" zoos.

I know, its almost like they were all named superman to help increase the selling price.

These have a nice grey on the frills and a neonish orange/red on the outisde the a grey/blue mouth.

I got these 30 polpys for like 30 bucks, the guy was also selling AOG zoas for 10 each, now that these have opened up I think I like these better!

I actually bought them on a whim as they were closed when I picked them up. Very pleased to say the least.

Apparently they were from vividaquarium under superman zoas.

Thought the exact thing to myself. Everyone has all these different and ridiculous names for zoos and no one is on the same page.

those are spiderman that I and dc posted.

there havent been superman psoted in this thread yet. At least not superman by any serious collectors definitnion of. I explained the difference. Im nto going to go into whether supermans are truly a Paly.....but they are three times or more the size of the spiderman. Basic colors are the same

Regardless, the polyps are nice that logzor has....but not supermans.

ps- the first pic I posted is under 10 k halides, no actinic. Not much mystery going on there as far as color. 2nd pic is 12k reeflux with vho actinic.

What picture are you comparing them to? I just looked at zoaid and they look nothing like these.

I spend some time making sure the white balance was correct to get a true representation of these polyps. I also used a tripod to make sure to get a good fod.

I have found nothing close to them.

flyyyguy

they do look similar to lord of the ring........but lord of the ring have green mouths.......

LOTR's are one of my favorites......they grow pretty quickly too....

They are mine. They do not look anything like my fire & ice. They came from ATL as Superman zoas. I generally like zoanthus gigantus polyps but these have a great color. these are pretty small as you can tell from the grid.
