After a long period of starving, my mandarin has finally consented to eat tubifex worms. One step closer to eating frozen! What should I do next? Mix frozen brine with the live tubifex worms?

There's no nutrition in brine. Try PE Mysis, or blood worms

I wanted to add: Don't let the lil guy guy starve like above. If you have to, buy a bottle of pods. I wonder if you can soak the pods and some mysis together in the same water for a while. Maybe it would give the mysis some pod flavor and trick the fish?

It has actually been in my tank for awhile. But even with a 20 gallon refugium, I noticed it getting skinnier. So I caught him and out him in a breeder's net. It may have been cruel, but if he was going to starve anyway, at least I had to make a effort to make him eat frozen. Today, he finally noticed the wriggling of the tubifix, and once he took the first bite and realized it was food, he started eating brine as well, since they look kinda alike
