how to fill di cartridge

i bought a ro/di unit today and do not know how to fill it. does the sponge go before or after the resin?

I dont see a video, maybe I am blind, but this process is very easy

#1 Place cartridge up side down and dump resin into container

#2 You need to tap the resin into the container and make sure it is packed just enough so you leave enough room for the sponge.

#3 You then place the sponge on top of the resin

#4 Then you can place the cap on the container and tighten

#5 The resin and the sponge should fit securely in side the container.

Fill it up, tap the cartridge a few times to settle it, fill it up again, tap the cartridge, etc... Rinse and repeat until it's as packed full of DI resin as possible, then put the sponge thing in the cap for the cartridge and screw the cap on and you're good to go. Super simple.

Fill the cartridge to the top, tap it on the tabletop several times to pack it tightly, refill, tap again and finally refill a final time, insert the sponge and screw the top on. You want the resin packed as tightly as possible as it shrinks slightly with usage and you do not want any voids that allow channeling or short circuiting.

I don't think my DI came with sponges, can I cut up a store bought sponge? Anyone have a pic of a sponge?
