Hello,

I've bought this LPS today as a Favite. are you ok with this identification ? if Yes, with Favite could it be?

He was correct, generally speaking. "pineapple" or "brain" coral is a blanket ID for about half the LPS out there :)
Placement should be dictated by ones individual light set up and determining what he or she thinks is intense lighting. Generally speaking with MH and T5 they should be kept lower half of the tank. I keep mine on the sand. Moderate to low flow, a very hearty eater of meaty foods and one of the more aggressive species of LPS stretching it's mesentary filliments up to 3+ inches in any given direction it sees fit at that time and with a heavy death kill ratio ;)

so this needs low flow....hmm. i have alot of flow in this tank. lol..

this is in a 24g AP with 70W 14K MH sunpod. i have it placed in the substrate kinda off to the side of the MH light.

here is a picture of mine. it looks like the same thing but alittle more colorful. is this the same thing?

this coral has never extended any tenticals either. so maybe im doing something wrong....or is it just not hungry beacuse it is getting enough light?
