It looks like a bristleworm. If you read older printed texts, you'll frequently find recommendations to remove them from the tank, but the general wisdom now is that they are harmless scavengers and should be left in the tank.

I leave them, as te common bristle worm causes no harms to corals or fish, however there is another type that is known to eat zoanthids. most bristle worms do not.

Why remove him, he'll eat any leftovers, detritus, and to prove their efficiency, I awoke one morning to find my yellow head jawfish gone, searched the tank, removed rockwork, sifted sand, only to find a rib bone,

lesson is, they are the definition of efficient, the jawfish must have died that night, and the bristle worms cleaned the mess, not nitrate or ammonia spike...

best of luck, and chances are, reguardless of how it looks you will rarely see it...

I agree, probably a harmless bristleworm, but removal is up to you. I don't bother removing them in my tank.

I do remove them ONLY when there are big to get into the corals or steal the food from them, if they are tiny or small they help you to eat the detritus at night.

YOu probably have a bunch just they came up at nigth when you feed your corals, put a reff safe wrasse to kepp them on a limit. I recomend you a milenarus or a radiant wrasse, I love the radian they are reefsafe and not agressive even to other wrasses.

This is a bristleworm AND a fireworm. It's harmless and will remain harmless regardless of how big it gets. A large number of them is a symptom of excess food for them and you should treat the actual problem, not the symptom.

Eat it.....it's good for you. Heard it makes you're wee wee bigger.

common bristle worm, and since they are detrivores, they're actually somewhat beneficial.
