Hey all

Thinking of adding a Powder Brown(A.japonicus) to my reef.Ive currently got a six line wrasse,Flame Angel,Maroon Clown,All of which are co-existing really well.

Has anyone had/have any experience with them?

Ich suseptability seems to be lower than that of powder blues and Ive been told that theyre alot hardier...

Any Help....?

They may be heartier but you may be pushing your limits with a powder tang in a 65 gal.
Just my thoughts....we'll see what others have to say.

I think the majority would agree that 65 is too small for a Powder Brown. Have you thought about a kole or tomini tang?

Going to the LFS this weekend...

Kole's are nice but Ive heard theyre quiet aggressive towards other fish....

Dont see to many Tomini's......:(

I think I'll stay a little clear of the Powders....

How are Kole's in terms of hardiness?

Pretty damn hard fish to kill.

Most tangs will become territorial if add them first.

Always best to add last.

Kole is great fish and real hardy. A powder brown would be the exact opposite of that. Not a hardy fish and will be quite a bit more territorial then a kole would be.
