I am working on PBMAS.org, chat here for a while!

Hey guys, as you know PBMAS.org is fuskered beyond belief thanx to an awful host. I have been bullying them into releasing the pbmas.org domain name so I can take it to another hosting company, and they finally agreed to give me the codes to begin the transfer. What happens now is I created a transfer to a new registrar and all they have to do is approve it and I can point the domain to the new hosting company and begin the rebuilding process. It will take some time, hopefully no more than a week.

Unfortunately the last backup I got of the site was corrupted thanks to our crappy host so the board will likely be backup but time machined back to July 31st it looks like... not bad considering the situation.

In the meantime use this board to hookup and stuff, make sure you follow the RC rules so you don't get banned.. I believe they don't allow for sale threads here.

update: I managed to get the new host, domain is pointing at the new host, so I'm gonna roll my sleaves up and try and get er done for the weekend!

Are we sticking with the same bulletin software for a particular reason? Most of the sites that I see run VBulletin and love it. I know there is an initial outlay with VBulletin but would there be a benefit in terms of stability and structurability of the new board?

Vbulletin sucks. it's a resource hog, less features, less stable, more hackable and very very hard to skin. Our board is like a 5 year advanced version of what vbulleting has.


And our skin won't translate to vbulletin, and I'm not going to convert it.
