How do you like that pump? I was thinking of trying that pump out for my return. How do you rate it?

It's a very quiet pump and powerful IMO no problem at all, no problems restarting after power failures.

Great pump, but the OR line of pump uses metric fittings. The only way I found to use it is submersed, and use the included hose adapter on the outlet. You can heat up some 3/4" tubing with a hairdryer and get it onto the barb adapter they provide with the pump.

Wow, that is an expensive impeller isn't it.

I have had good luck contacting the manufacturer at www.aqua-medic.com in the past. They have even supplied me with things without going through a vendor and quite reasonable too.

cristhiam,
Interesting... is that a 3/4" threaded union you have on the output? I physically brought the pump into lowes and home depot and couldnt find a single fitting that fit on the output of the pump. I have heard from others that you can get a 3/4" on if you push, but I didnt want to force it... cracked enough skimmers, pump housings, and bulkheads to know better.
