Hi guys, I was just wondering what types of coral or anemone can I keep in my 29g tank. ( 30 x 15 x 15 ). Currently using a commercial Metal halide casing with a 150watt Double ended 20000k HQi bulb.

Beside I also have a 15 g sump for the 29g tank. The metal halide is 1 ft above the water surface. Tank height is less than 15 inch. Currently my ritteri anemone is located in the middle level of the tank and mushroom is at the bottom.

The tank is also fill with 2 H.come sea horse and 2 tomato clown.

The light might be good enought. Ritteri anemone need a lot of light and water movement. Wich is all a sea horse don't like and will kill it sooner or later.

Clownfish+ anemone OK

Clownfish, anemone + seahorse. NO NO!

So what type of flow rate do I need to have for a coral and anemone tank ? I currently have 1 sunsun wavemaker with 800gph and a reyurn pump of 475 gph is it enough for a 29g tank ? Both of the water flow are flowing against each other.

I'd get the seahorse out asap. If the tomotoes don't kill it (they are very aggressive and aggressive eaters) the anemone will!

The flow rate depends on what type of corals you want to keep. Some like high flow, others like low flow. Placement will also make a huge difference. Its not as easy as I have "x" flow, what can I keep?
