wow, did you just get all that live rock from your LFS? The store I goto doesnt have any live rock that really matches. All your live rock looks like its from the same originating area. really sweet set up.

your rock is amazing ! It's great to have a good starting foundation like that, it's easier to build apon and make it even more amazing with corals.

Thanks everyone, yeah i worked at a lfs a while ago and the live rock that came through was pretty premium, and i got to pick whatever pieces i wanted over the course of a year.

I mean you gotta get some perks making $9/hr.

Wow looks awesome! And you have the same brain coral as me. Same color and all!

What is that purple stuff that looks like scotchbrite or brillo? I have some too and wondering if it is bad and I should kill it?

Cool are you talking about the green one. This is what he looked like a few months after i got him. When i first got him he was a gamble/rescue as he was bleached bleached white with a hint of green. turned out to be quite a score.

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r296/OARrocks/holymoly4104.jpg

That purple stuff is some kind of macro algae, its not bad and isn't intrusive as some can be. It is ROOTED into the rock and cant be pulled out, the only option i can see to get rid of it would be to give it a snip with some scissors. Ahh the things we do for our tanks.

yeah I was wondering what that shrimp is, that thing is awesome!

You've really motivated me to make my brackish puffer 10g into a nano :D

Yeah the green brain coral. I didn't even know what it was when I bought it lol. But it looked so cool. It just seemed to be calling to me at the store! Yours looks awesome. Mines still very small but very healthy and colorful. Wish you great success with your beautiful tank!

It's a Caribbean anemone shrimp. He's really cool, he does this side to side wobble like a peppermint shrimp.
