Are the glass hole saw's that are for sale on ebay any good? I need an 1-1/2" to drill a new tank. If the one's on ebay are not any good, where can I pick one up? Thanks

I purchased mine from Ebay. I think he was located in HongKong. Well worth the wait. I've drilled about 10 holes with it, with out any problems.

Just make sure it is diamond coated.

I agree with the posts above. I got mine on a buy it now on ebay. It did probably take 10-12 days to get it from Hong Kong though. Diamond tipped, works like a charm.

Got mine from Lau also. I bought every size I think I will ever need. Only tried the 5/8 inch one so far and cut a perfect hole in a ten gallon tank in about 2 minutes.

He sells the main bulkhead sizes in a set that contains all 3. The 5/8 inch is for a float valve hole that I bought seperate and came in a 4 pack for like 8 bucks. lol

Probably not good enough for a glass shop. But we don't drill holes every day. At least I don't think a reefer would..?? :)

I've got 3 different sizes from Lau. No problems at all. I've used them numerous times.

free shipping over $15 in USA, i ordered my stuff on the 25th of december and they actually shipped it out on the 26th and it got here super quick, very happy

i still have both the 1.5" for 3/4" bulkheads and the 2 3/8" for 1.5" bulkheads, still good after drilling two holes with each in thick glass on the back of my 75 tank, i actually purchased the 1500GPH overflow kit and added two 3/4" bulkheads and extra holesaw for it

drilling instructions and video can be found on their site, i had never drilled glass before this and my tank looks like a pro set it up

Do these work with acrylic? Pardon my ignorance about such.

For acrylic a holesaw from any hardware store would work better and faster.

I got all my hole saws from this place in Hong Kong. You can get all sorts of glass tools and the hole saws are available in all sizes for cheap.
