I have had a UHE system for over a year now, was probably one of the first to buy it when it came out. Tried a few times to talk to support at Spectrapure, Dana couldn't help, and never can get to talk to an engineer or someone who can help so I'll try here.
When it works it works great. But recently I have been having some problems. I was told there is a way to increase the product water output ratio and would like to find out how.
The real problem is that if I make 50 gallons of product, it randomly will all drain out of the collection can apparently through the yellow line if the main water pressure gets turned off (by the wife...) or the pump stops pumping. The you have to jiggle the wires to the pump to get it to tun on or unplug it and plug it back in. This seems to be a random event - the pump stops pumping water, and everything in the collection bin drains out slowly through the bottom blue tubing, through the unit, and apparently out the yellow waste tube. This never used to happen. For months it worked perfectly. I have replaced the filters with new and correct filters, etc. Haven't adjusted or touched any of the other settings.
Any help from engineers at Spectrapure would be appreciated. Is the unit defective?
