I'm thinking about buying the red sea ozone generator. My tank is inside a closet with a slight amount of room to work around in.
Ventilation is not the greatest, so do you think that is safe?

if you run the air and water through carbon it will remove any remaining ozone before it has anything to do with ventilation.

So do you think this system will work well enough with the humidity or do I need a slighty better system?

ALL ozone needs a air dryer on it.

The red sea one has one with it, not sure if its good enough?

It should be good enough. If you want a cheaper way of doing it. A lot run del-zone @ 65$ + 109$ controller + 30$ dryer

No problem You will have to have a controller on the del-zone becuse it is 300mg/h

I would go with an Ozotech ozonizer. These are made by ozone specialists. My Ozotech Poseidon produces way more ozone than the Red Sea unit. I had two red Sea ozonizers fail on me. Also, I do not run an air dryer with my Ozotech, and it produces more O3 than the Red Sea 200 I used to have. You don't need to run an air dryer with the Ozotech, but you will need to clean it once in a while by running some distilled water thru it to get the gunk out (obviously while it's not turned on).

You can pick one up at Aquarium Specialty.

Hope this helps.

+1 for the Ozotech. They are a professional grade component. It's not worth cheaping-out on this kind of equipment.

+2 Ozotech. With the Red Sea you have to keep the air dryer charged or the unit does not perform well.

OHH ozotech was the other one I was trying to think of. From the experts and a writting on several mags, Apps, where the humidity is above 55% a dryer is a good thing. This is why. water vaper will be cosentrated so much under the high votage. a moist liquid form of ozone will appear as to run in the lines. This is most of the time invisible to the eye. But if you dont run a dryer after a few weeks you can stick your toung to the line and taste the acid. This acid is what does the most damage to skimmers and lines from the ozone. At 75% humidity the ozonier will only produce 50-80% its copasity as to a build of film of this liquid on the glass vacum tubs. Thus over time it will get weaker and weaker There is a very long artical on ReefKeeper mag, You can do a search on.
