20K xm 250 DE or 14K phoenix 250 DE

I'll keep it simple. I am looking for a whiteish blue not a purpleish white! I dont want actinics anymore either.

my de 250w xm was kind of purple when i ran it on a pfo hqi ballast. the pheonix i have now is white with some blue.

I just installed XM 20K DE 250w on IceCap electronics and they are kinda purple. They have only been running them a few days and they may change color in the next two weeks, but for now they are a bit purplish.

I have one 250W De Phoenix and one xm 20k side by side. They are both on Ice Cap ballasts. There is very very little difference in color. The xm is a tad bit bluer.

I have had both 150w versions side by side and the xm is much more purple. I personally like the xm20k better but the output is poor.

A 150w phoenix has more output than a 250w XM20K *LOL* Save yourself some cash electricity wise and go with a 150w phoenix setup over the 250w xm's.

I am currently running two phoenix bulbs in my outer orbit "dual 150" love it and do not use the actinics except for a dawn / dusk effect.
