Over Labor Day Weekend I was fortunate enough to purchase a frag of the icefire echinata (Thanks Unarce!). Right now it's 15 inches from 400w 20k's. Just wondering for those of you that got a frag where is it placed in your tank? Right now my frag is brown but coloring up slightly. I'd love to see pics of everyone's icefire as well! Thanks in advance.

i'm blasting mine with light but went a little easy on the flow. mine is around 15 inches from 250 12ks, not as much as yours. seems to be doing well

i don't have a pic right now. compared to yours mine looks pale green with bluish coralites. its still tiny, about an inch and grows molasses slow.....

Dude! Frag looks great! I always worry about trips home with this piece. It's so sensitive.
When mine was at it's best, which is the pic that Tyree has on his site, it was being blasted by a 400W Ushio 14k. I've since switched to 250W, and am kinda regretting it.
I'll likely be back to 400W in less than a week:lol:

Thanks Karl! The frag definitely colored up a bit since the trip. I'm going to move it up to ten inches from the light in a week or so to see if it'll color up faster. The fun is in watching the frag color up in your tank. =)
