purposely feed frogspawn ?candy?

Ok, so am I supposed to feed everything that is a coral? I was not told to purposfully feed my zenia, leathers, frogspawn,crystal coral, bubble coral, button polyps. elegance coral, Yet i read about people feeding all of them. don't they filter feed? from left over fish food?I am a bit confused now.

for most coral 99% of their food comes from the light. This is why you need powerful lighting to keep certain coral. A lot of people, including me, will spot feed certain coral such as a frogspawn of a candy cane coral. If you spot feed the coral will grow and spread a little quicker. Feeding corals, the ones that will accept food, only aids the growing a little faster :) Hope it helps.
