I have had this mushroom for almost 2 years. I have always wondered if the rose like center is normal. It is around 6" across.
Is this normal? Is it supposed to look like this or what? Thanks

I already posted it in the shroom room:)with no replies.

Yeah sorry for the bad pic. I can see if I can get a better one. That is gsp on the left. The shroom is about 6" across with a center that looks like a rose. The center of the rose thing goes all the way inside. Kind of like a mouth, but the real mouth is in the pic right in front.
I'm going to see if I can get a better pic now.

Here is a little better. The center is leaning backwards. I couldn't get a good shot of the inside.

I had a rhodactis mushroom that was about a foot across and grew in all kinds of weird ways too. I wouldn't worry about it. It looks healthy. I got rid of mine bacause it ate fish and grew over, then killed other corals. Although when I ripped it out, I didn't get it all, so now I have little ones I nuke with kalk

I'm not worried about it. I think it's kind of cool. I just have never seen another one like it, and wanted to know if other reefers have.
Thanks for you input. Do you happen to have any pics of it when it was a foot across?
