DYI Doser Q

I just got done reading your article on a DYI limewater doser and it very good, thanks for the info. My question is my skimmer has a place for calc dosing would it be ok to hook a doser up to that instead of leting it drip into my sump?

Could you even count the drips from the kalkwasser if it was going directly into the skimmer body?

I don't see any advantage dripping into the skimmer and a potential disadvantage. Because you're pumping air into the skimmer the backpressure could keep the kalk dripper from functioning. In addition hooking it up every time seems like extra work. Just dripping into the output of the skimmer will work fine.
