thinking about ordering one...any experiences?

I had the large one on my old tank. Really liked it. I bought the light that goes with it too. I kept chaeto in it and had to trim once a week. The only negative was the via aqua pump that came with it. I had to replace it once (the original lasted 8 mos). Other than that I would recommend it.

Yeah I want it for chaeto and nutrient export...Did the pump just have a crappy motor?

Yeah, it was no big deal. I just swapped out the pump which took 5 minutes. I think a replacement pump is $10 at marinedepot.com

I run the large on my 120g as its non RR. For a light I use standard clip on light with a CF bulb in 6500K. Works great for cheato. I too had to get a replacement pump, but I bought the unit used.
