i hope i have the right id for this .... so my water is in the norm checked it this morn and just now....

so here is my problem i thank there is a tear or rip in my coral .....

he is very happy i thank been in my tank for over a month eats fine and still puffs up ...

Looks like goniopora (flower pot coral) Our clowns have been hosting in ours and rubbing the top of it raw. Not sure what caused the tear on yours though

i vote goniopora also. when one of our clown tryed to host our green flower pot it always closed. just make shure you dont have lots of flow on it. you will have to have slow random flow around it. some of the flower pots can be a pain but they are very nice coral to have.

and if you see brown slime showing up on it do an iodine dip or you will loose the flower pot. brown slime is a big killer for flower pots!

lol my black clown is starting to do the same but its not closing 1.2 the time....

they like medium indirect flow, and are not the hardiest of corals... there has been some success, sometimes from amateurs. from what I understand, they don't like a pristine system, and most last up to a year. One of the best foods for them, remembering from years ago, is Roti-rich. Jen-N-Kerry did a major writeup on them, and attributed most of their success to this food. They were even selling babies from them.
