I want to set up a 210 for a divider tank between my kitchen/dinning room. But I don't want to buy a pre- drilled tank because I want it viewable on 3 sides. Are the aquaeon tanks tempered on the bottom?

I called a few weeks ago about a 180, was told that the bottom was tempered, but the side panels in the big tanks are not tempered.

I to have been starting research on a peninsular as a divider between kitchen and living room. Will keep watch to see what info is out there.

What are the dimensions of your tank for starters?

My biggest questions at the moment for a that size i was looking at a couple options tank wise. 72x24x24 or a little bigger 72x30x24.

What do you have for flow i was really considering the tunze wavebox as i have seen them in action and they look really cool. With supplemental waterflow as well.

I was considering a little more open on the rock work with sandy areas as i like the large LPS colonies with some nice sps along the top.

I was looking at a light fixture like yours but possibly just the 150w with the T5. I know the 150 is plenty on my 20" deep tank at the moment.

buddah001, Pretty much every tank has a tempered bottom now. You can order a custom tank from most MFGs and can get the overflow on the end. Or you can just get a Non Reef ready 210 then drill the side wall for the overflow.. Your drains don't have to be in the bottom. They will work fine in the side.. Most side panels aren't tempered.

I saw a while ago. a 180 drilled room divider. The guy made decorative oak planks covering the overflows to match the stand.

if you went with a penninsula tank i would redo it and go with a 30 inch wide. more space. as for my dims they are 72x24x24. also if you wanted to go with the 30 inch wide tank you would need to go with a 250w light. at this momment i plan on upgrading to a 72x30x24 and will be againts the wall.

Well turns out that I might just be going with a standard overflow tank. Slight change in plans on location. What size sump does everyone recommend for a 210g?Do you recommend a fuge? How big? It is going to be mixed reef. softies,LPS,SPS

Thanks for the info i was looking at the 60x30x25, depending on price i guess i could go all the way with the 72x30x25 or 60x36x25. I saw Gasman was using an elos lighting system 2x250w with 4x39w T5 and it covered his entire 60x30x25 but it is really expensive i was trying to get the most efficient wattage wise probably will end up with the 12x54w t5.

I have still been trying to find out if a wavemaker or two would work really well.
