So I have a 70 gallon (30x23x23). I am looking for a fish like a tang that is big but reef safe. Obviously no tang can fit in there. Any advice on a completely reef safe fish that gets on the big side. I was looking at a tobacco/harlequin bass but they eat shrimp and little fish. I have sharknose/blue neon gobies and they are extremely small. Any advice would be appreciated.

Gold striped maroon clown it can get up to 5" and doesn't need a lot of swimming room. Caution if you get a pair and they breed the female can get VERY aggressive , it will even bite your hand and can draw blood (personal experience).

i think a 55 with those 2 fish is way to small for them to be happy/healthy. but as long as the fish are doing good. i am not here to criticize anyway.

you can probably go with a tang but might have to upgrade. my buddy started a 30gl tank with a tang and upgraded. then i took over the 30gl and that's how my hobby started:)
