I just finished up fresh testing my 180 gallon. I am running an older Sequence 3200 for my closed loop pump. Its killing my ears the noise from it sounds like an electrical transformer. The pump is mounted on a 1x8 composite board with a 1/2" ineffective styrofoam vibration dampener. I either need a better way to silence this thing or an idea on a very quiet pump as this tank is in the hub of our house and plumbed under-tank. Do you think that those stick on archery vibration dampeners would help? Neoprene under the pump? Im open to any suggestions. Ill post a video to show how obnoxious this noise is. If you are suggesting a new pump please keep the flow rate above 4000gph. Thank you.

have you tried the reeflo pumps. The reeflo dart is pretty widely used and preferred for closed-loop applications. they are very quiet if you mount them on the rubber pad and hopefully you have an enclosed tank stand with cabinet doors? The enclosure should help muffle the sound from the pump.

The new Super Dart Gold does around 4000 GPH and is whisper quiet.
