Do dry rock turn live?

My tank is 8 months old. At first I put 120 libras of dry Indonesian rocks and during this time I added some live rocks, mainly by coral's base rocks.

Do my dry rocks turn live as time goes by? If yes, how can I tell?

It will turn live again. The live rock you put in will seed the base rock you have in there. You will see some small new growth on it over time.

In a few months, it will be just as alive as the rest of your rock.
All of my rock I collected myself and bleached so I could bring it on the plane. It is very much alive.

i put 1 piece of dry rock. it's been a couple of months and it's been taking a different color. turning redish.
