sorry, that is probably not the correct terminology.
But I'm looking for plexiglass to put under my 14.5" sq MH reflector, to protect the bulb, and the tank incase the bulb breaks.

Will any type of plexi hold up under that heat?
Thickness requirements?
It's a 250watt adj MH that is set pretty low.
The plexi would be mounted right uner the reflector.

You should look for a high temperature acrylic or better yet, I would go with a tempered glass lens. That would be a better bet. Run a fan also.

I would have to agree you are better off with a glass. I believer that is what it used on hqi MH reflectors to stop uv rays that they admit. With SE mogul base lighting that is not needed cause the glass around the bulb shields the uv rays admitted from the light

i called my equipment shop (reefexotics) and he already had the tempered UV glass precut to 14.5" square... perfect fit and solution!
As they say at staples..."That was easy".
