I am upgrading my AP 24 from a 150w sunpod to a 250w. I am currently running 150w phoenix and it seems very dim to me.
Please share your experiences.
thanks :)

I'm sure you have seen my tank a hundred times. It's sps dominated just like yours and i'm running the 250 watt phoenix. The only complaint i have is i have to keep green corals on the bottom to maintain their color.

I'm sure you would be well pleased once you acclimate your corals to the nearly double par increase.Just be very careful doing it.

I have a 250W on the way... with a Phoenix 14K.

It will go onto this anemone 14G tank. . . Or, if i like it enough I'll be tempted to put it on my 20G for SPS and clams... or I'll just get another.

I have read that the PAR values are not significantly different between the two fixtures, at least to the point that it would necessitate the added expense, which has kept me from upgrading to the new light. Also, my SPS seem to like the 150W just fine. Any reason for the change?

The tank looks dim. The colors are good and the SPS are doing fine but I just feel a little more light will spark things up a bit more. I had some of the same corals under 400w in my old 120gal and the color was more intense. Just bored and want to try something new:)

Sus, I have a 150w running now.
