I have painted a room with my fish tank in it with no problems. I just covered it with some towels and put a fan near a window to try and blow some of the fumes out.

I've done it with two tanks in the room (a 72 and a 58) without issue. It's a bit tough to get behind them but it wasn't bad. I didn't do anything special like cover the tanks or open the windows, I just did it and had no issues.

Use low VOC paint if you can as well.

If its latex paint it should not be a problem.
I would cover the tank ,open the windows for a while and use carbon for 24hrs just to be safe.
